Feldenkrais lessons are not about body parts. But sometimes our attention goes to an achy muscle, a sore joint or a specific area of tension. While our ancestors literally carried burdens on their shoulders, our shoulders carry anxiety, stress and responsibility. Constant use of the hands in fine movements while inhibiting the shoulders – from smartphone to driving – add to shoulder challenges. This compilation can help reduce stress and relieve shoulder discomfort. The side effects may result in greater well being in the rest of you as well.
This compilation contains five lessons. You can do them in any order, although I have arranged them in a way that I have found pleasing. As you do the lessons, you will see that nothing happens in isolation and that other things will improve along with your shoulder comfort!
