Improving Posture

Five Awareness Through Movement® lessons for finding your true height.

Feldenkrais did not like the word “posture.” He felt it implied a static state, where in fact, we are always in movement and need to be organized to be able to move wherever we want with ease. But so many people tell me, “I have terrible posture, what can I do?” that I know when they speak about posture, it’s not just about slouchy shoulders, but a discomfort with their self-image. We want to be poised, confident, relaxed and when we can’t feel straight, strong or flexible, our well-being is compromised. These five lessons can help you discover your own resources for “standing up for yourself.”
