Let’s not forget our distal parts! Your hands, feet and face connect you to the world, to each other and influence every move you make. (Remember the last time you stubbed your toe?) Movement, research and inquiry; mental, physical, emotional; it will be a sensory feast.

Talking With Your Hands
February 12
“Her knuckle white grip on the steering wheel,” “he threw up his hands in surrender,” “she brought her hands together in prayer,” our hands never stop talking. But the hands are so much more. They magically type hundreds of words, chop onions, hold ski poles, heal the sick. The muscles and tendons of the hands connect the arm to the shoulder. Often shoulder pain is the result of the misuse of the hands, and vice versa. Discover the power in your hands and how you can use your hands to feel better all over.

Your Fabulous Face
April 2
Your face responds to signals from your nervous system: to smile, frown, clench your jaw, widen or shut your eyes. Anxious habits and tension affect how you “face” the world, even impacting on how you stand and walk.. Some people would call this workshop “the natural facelift.” But we’re not lifting it, we’re going to re-organize it from the inside out. Join us for a profoundly relaxing way to improve not just your looks, but your posture and your attitude.

Footloose
May 21
We forget about our feet…until they hurt. This most distal part gets smashed into shoes, carries our weight, takes us where we need to go. I was at the checkout when I realized in horror that I had forgotten the Half and Half. I sprinted through the aisles to the dairy section and was back in a flash, never once thanking my feet. What happens to your feet echoes through your entire skeleton. If your feet have rebelled with plantar fasciitis, bunions, arthritis or other indignities, or just need to reconnect with your distant buddies, join me for fancy footwork that would make Kevin Bacon jealous.
