Your Somatic Superpowers
Finding Balance and Grace While Navigating Challenge
September 20 – 21, 11:00 – 18:00 each day
London, UK
Workshop Details
No one ever said it would be easy, but lately things have gotten exponentially more complex. Whether we’re navigating world news, political turmoil, runaway technology or just trying to get through the day, the human organism is being asked to adapt to demands that stretch our nervous systems. This can lead to both physical and emotional pain, which colors everything in our environment.
How do we adapt without compromising our wellbeing? What does it mean to have agency in the face of difficult choices? And most importantly, how can we learn to develop physical, mental and emotional resilience in order to sail through these difficult times?
Moshe Feldenkrais defined health not as the absence of illness, but as the ability to recover.
- Explore strategies that offer a clarified self-image,
- Learn how to reduce unnecessary tension,
- Develop your somatic awareness to improve how you think, feel and move,
- Discover processes you can utilize in daily life to reclaim calm,
- Experience the power of using movement to reduce stress and find a strong center,
- Enjoy powerful, relaxing movement lessons that can reduce pain and increase both mental and physical flexibility.
The workshop will include Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement® lessons, discussion, inquiry and more for a whole being immersion. Whether you are an artist, teacher or bodyworker, you will find tools to apply to your work and your life.

“I came back to Lavinia after a few years and was amazed how much Feldenkrais helped improve my balance and how I navigated obstacles. It’s subtle but makes a huge difference!”
– Ginger G.
“In late spring, I fell backwards onto a concrete sidewalk when I stepped off the sidewalk onto a paved — but uneven — asphalt surface. Amazingly, I experienced no soreness or lasting discomfort after the shock of the unanticipated landing. My body apparently went into “auto-pilot” and reacted as though I were in a Feldenkrais classes.”
– Kirk C.
